Positive Battery Wire - Melted

In my ongoing adventures of restoring an '89 IROC-Z, I have found the positive battery wire has come into contact with the header at one time or another. The insulation is melted flat, so I'll have to purchase and run a new wire to the starter.

My question, is there supposed to be some kind of a hold down for the wire just to the front of the header? I see two holes, one slightly larger than the other in that area. In the meantime I will ziptie the wire down.

Thanks.

There is no hold down until the frame rail. Thats just a piece of tin coated with rubber, not exactly secure

Most GM V8s have a tie down connected to the pass side motor mount that routes the starter Batt wire away from the exhaust. My 87 IROC has this from the factory, or maybe I added it and don't remember, that's also possible.
