Taillight Info

My car is 1988 formula an I would like to install 1990 TA tail lights

sorry for the large pics will figure out how to make a thumbnail.

ok so the back of the passenger lens side looks like

4 holes I think the inner one is reverse and the outer 3 are all tail+turn/brake?
My issue is My wiring looks like (drivers side)

and here is the old lens I will reuse 3 of the sockets and just need one for the turn/tail that I have cut off as they dont fit my new set

also I have read to splice a light blue wire from the brake switch and connect it to the white wire from the turn signal cluster that is coming down the steering column, so brake lights would use turn signal wire like hazards?
my main issue is would this not affect the front signals too? or are they separated in the turn cluster?

stolen web photo

any info will be welcomed
