Fuel Gauges Problems.
I've got an '87 2.8L Camaro w/ WC T5 Trans. I've been having problems with my gauge cluster, as only my voltmeter, and tachometer work. The oil pressure gauge, temperature gauge, and fuel gauges all seem to work, but they all go to their respective positions when the car is started, fuel gauge reads full all the time, temperature gauge reads under 100 Degrees at all times, even when I've been driving for a while, and my oil pressure gauge reads maximum pressure, but I know that's not right. My speedometer also does not work, but it seems like the base has a bad bearing, so the speedo doesn't work, and neither does the odometer.
Well I've got some wires that are disconnected and just hanging underneath the dash, along with a couple wires that have just been clipped. I was wondering if you guys would know what was going on.
The wires that are clipped are 2 wires that come out of the same piece of black insulation, one being yellow, the other purple. Any ideas as to what they go to?
I've been looking at body wiring diagrams, and engine wiring diagrams trying to find out, but I'm not really having any luck.
Any advice guys? Do you know what the wires go to or what they are for at least?"
EDIT: I'll try to get some pictures of the disconnected wires if you guys want.

Re: Fuel Gauges Problems.
Here is a video of my gauges when key is off, acc, engine started, then shut back off. They seem to be getting power, but I don't know why they are being so funky. In the video you can seem the temp gauge like it should, but it stays at the bottom and never moves up otherwise.

The cable comes out right by the clutch.

I don't think that is accurate...

This wire is hot btw.
What do you guys think?

Re: Fuel Gauges Problems.
Anybody know what any of the cables are for? Or some guesses? Or if they are related at all. I really don't know what is going on with all of the gauges. But I am thinking it may be a bad ground, but I'm not really familiar with Camaros so anyone's guess is pretty much better than mine. I've even tried dropping by my dads and asking him, as he had an '87 Berlinetta that he loved. So I figured his guess would be better than mine, and he had no clue either.
Any ideas guys?
