ok im trying to put a pioneer headunit in my 92 z28 and the car has factory bose. when i got the car the po had a system in it and he had tapped into the factory speakers that are in the hatch. i bought a standard install kit and hooked it all up i got power but no sound. do i need a special adapter to make it work? my 03 yukon has factory bose and i had to buy a special $50 adapter to make it work with the bose amp. any help would be apreciated.

I might not be the most helpful, but it is my understanding that you will need an adapter. Something about the speakers working on OHMS and the radio on some other type of. I had this conversation with another member a long time ago. I dont remember the exact details but the final point was that an adapter was needed to conver the power output.

Also, do you have any bose items for sale that you will not be needing? Or willing to trade for other system items. I currently run full Kenwood but want to go back to the Bose.

Yeah, the head unit is the most important peice. I actually got my head unit from f1ls1 . He is the member that you want to speak to about the bose set up. He gave me the run down back in the day when I got the head unit from him. And he currently runs the full set up. Good Luck
