Black junk

I bought a 87 Formula about a month ago and it is blowing fuses when the right turn signal is turned on. The previous owner said he changed the turn signal switch and harness 200 miles ago. The bulkhead connector at the firewall had duct tape on it so I took it apart. There is gobs of sticky black gease all over the wires there. Anyone ever seen this? Thanks

Re: Black junk

That crap is from the factory, its a dialetric grease to help with conduction.

Re: Black junk

OK, thanks, any suggestions on the short? When I turn on the right turn signal, I start hearing a clicking, several gauges jump, eventually the fuse blows.
