92 Z-28 blinker problem

I have a 92 Z-28 that the blinker has quit working. All the blinkers come on correctly, however, do not blink. Is this a relay problem and if so, is the relay in the steering column or elsewhere?

Thanks,

Ken

Re: 92 Z-28 blinker problem

The part that makes them blink is accessible under the dash, either near the fuse panel or just hanging under there. You may have to remove the panel under the steering wheel. There are two, one for the blinkers and one for the emergency flashers. They look like little silver cans about an inch in diameter and an inch deep. They have two tabs that fit into the plug. One has stripes, one doesn't. I forget which is which. If you get the part at the parts store you'll see which one to swap out
