High/Low Beam Switch

High/Low Beam Switch
I have a 1991 Camaro RS. My turn signal lever works for everything besides high/low beam changing. When I turn a turn signal on it doesnt go off after turning the wheel but I can live with that. My High beams are stuck on and when I pull the lever forward it doesnt click or change to low beam but if i pull forward and wiggle it and pull forward again it will change. Besides pulling the wheel and tearing down my column is there any other way to fix this? I need my headlights to work considering I work at night. Any help is appreciated
