TEMP Gauge Problems???

i recently just put my car pack together after leaving it sit in the garage for three, four years.
the temp gauge every time i start the car jumps and pins it self straight up. i removed the bezel so i could push it back down. after doing so gauge works normal, until the next restart?

Re: TEMP Gauge Problems???

I had the same thing happen in my car. I finally removed the bezel, pushed the pin free and then I drilled two tiny holes- one at the top just before where it was sticking, and one at the bottom, where it would also stick. I then installed two small screws in those holes as stops. I put everything back together and you can't see the screws... it did the trick and the gauge works mint.
