code 34 help

i have a 1987 trans am gta 5.7fi. It has a code 34(maf g/m to high) and has no accleration, no power. I have checked the maf sensor, both the maf power and burnoff relays and they are both good. It has the stock intake tubing. I checked the wires tht plugged into the computer for the maf and related relays and all are giving voltage to the ecm. help please

Have you followed through the FSM diagnostics?

Re: code 34 help

No i have never used tht im just using basic diagonistics, plus the codes they are discribing are differtn from the one i am getting on my firebird. In my two service books and the scanner book it says code 34 on my car is maf getting to much air. My idle is smooth at about 500-600rpm timing is perfect and ect. It just has no acceleration at all and when i disconnect the maf sensor no difference and same code(the maf in the car is the chip one) i swapped it with the maf from my other car(that one was the wireone) and it barley ran. So idt the maf sensor is at fault also i swapped the fuel pump and burn off relays with each other to see if the burn off was at fault and nothing happened plus same code.
