Difference between 2 terminal/3 terminal wiper motor
Does anyone know how to tell if you have a 2 or 3 terminal wiper motor? I have an 86 with intermittent wipers but the PO put in a wiper motor from an 89 that only has hi and lo.
I bought a 3 terminal and swapped over the black cover with circuit board and now one of my connectors doesnt fit (top on the driver side). This connector was not plugged in to the old motor. I loosened the black cover just enough for the connector to plug in but i only get low and hi speed. There's a place for a connector to go that looks long and has 8 or so prongs (connects on passenger side) and I can't find a connector that plugs in to it anywhere. The connector down the bottom plugs in fine.
Is 2 terminal referring to two connectors that plug in? I'm confused and I think I just wasted some cash. Anyone who knows the answer, I'd appreciate the help. Thanks
