Ok,Got a 86 base firebird w/2.8 maf intake and injector stuff.Charging/belt set up is a 3.1 block altnator and so on.Been working on this car some time.Got it to run and have a altnator that was taken off my sons car to fill a spot in the belt set up to see if I stand a chance to get this motor running right.Here's the question. When I turn the key to the on possition just before the starter is to engauge.I should have a few things lighting up on my idiot lights.Right? I got a check engine and maybe there was a seat belt. But no alt or battery.When the car is running I'm not getting a light either.I know my son replaced this thing.should the alt light be on if my keys are turned on?What are all these places in the gauge cluster.
