stock fan modification
So i want to add a toggle switch to my stock fan harness, pretty much just have a hot wire running to the switch and then to the fan, this way my fan would still come on at the stock settings but if i wanted it to run cooler for some runs down the track or whatever i could also this way im not replacing the stock switch to a lower temp switch thus hurting what mileage i do have. Anyways its a 90' camaro rs 305 tbi single fan, my question is does the stock switch cut out the hot or the ground? if its the ground would i just tap into the wire inbetween the stock switch and fan and have the wire on the other side of the switch just grounded somewhere? if its the hot do i need a fuse or anything besides just the wire? i hope this makes sense and i can get some input thanks in advance

Re: stock fan modification
The stock fan switch grounds the green with white stripe going to the relay. Grounding that wire would give you fan on with key on. A switch on that wire gives you off and on choice with the key on. Yeah, just tap into that wire near the relay for both automatic and manual operation
