accell tune up on my stock camaro
I was thinking about doing an acceleration tune up on my stock 305 tbi. Cap, rotor, wires, coil, and maybe the spark plugs. -should I get the acceleration plugs or are there better? And would doing this effect anything on my stock car negatively?

if everytihng is stock, then theres no need to spend money on the expensive wires. stock replacements will be fine.

I just thought it would run better. Start better. What would be a good replacement. I do want a new coil for sure. Will the accel one interfere with cap and rotor?

Stock replacements are indeed fine, but for a couple bucks more you can get a decent set of 8mm wires. MSD cap and rotor, and some bosch platinums... THats what I just did to my stock 305 TPI... Maybe its a little Bling factor as well.
I think I paid $45 for my MSD streetfire wire set. 25ish for the cap and rotor, and under a buck a piece for the bosch plugs through a rockauto closeout.

Accell wires are junk.
Bosch plugs are junk.
Why are you replacing a working coil?
If the car needs plugs and wires, and that issue is causing hard-starts, then go buy some normal Autolite's and some 8mm house-brand plug wires and be done with it.

Re: accell tune up on my stock camaro
Bosch plugs do not like Chevy engines. I have run them (Platinums and +4's) in several SBC's and they have always caused poor idle and loss of power.
Accell wires go bad fast when used on a car with headers. Any heat near them will fry them. Same thing with MSD wires. Accell stuff is always poorly designed in my experience.
All of this is just based off of personal experience I have had with my cars and cars of friends.

Re: accell tune up on my stock camaro
i ran bosche plat 4s for a while on my stroker, i never had issues with them, but i switched to a shorty header plug from accell and there wasnt any change at all in perfomance. so the bosche plugs are just over priced and not worth it. ive also been running running accell 8mm plug wires for a while with 0 issues, other than one contacted the header and melted through the insulation.

Inanimate objects do not have the ability to "dislke".
Unless your running a high compression engine.. or forced Air, Spark plugs are spark plugs for the most part...
I've run Bosch plugs in most of my cars over the years.. WRX's, Dakota R/T, Mustangs, and now I just put a set in my Iroc...
Never had an issue.

Youd be wasting money for a cap that just calls itself a "racing" cap, but is no better than a stock replacement

Re: accell tune up on my stock camaro
i got a 92 305 tbi motor, and heres what i found. autolites, bosch, and even champions are complete junk for the factory set up. stick witht he a/c delco plugs, they are lil more but they dont lose proformance like the other plugs, also plat makes the car run worst. i have a msd cap and rotor works awsome and some standard wires, factory coil.
the thing is if you gona spend all that on upgradeing it you hav to do it all the way, which includes the dist. and control module, bc think of it if you have more spark but only factory set up passage ways, then only factory volts will go tho.
