Under dash buzzer
So what's the deal with this buzzer under the dash my car was missing it so I got another one n replaced it hoping it will make some jingle or something like that if I leave the lights on or the key in the ignition but all I get is this annoying buzzing sound when I open the key it buzzes for like 30 seconds or so then goes quiet. What was it ment for to begin with and how to fix it? Thanks guys n gals
Re: Under dash buzzer
If it is the buzzer I am thinking of, it goes off when the key is in the ignition but not on, when the headlights are left on, and when your seatbelt isn't pulled out.
As for fixing it, I'm not sure. I did some work behind my dash and accidentally fixed it when I was working out an electrical issue behind my cluster.

Re: Under dash buzzer
its to let you know the doors open or lights are left on, thats why its so annoying. most gm vehicles have it just in different tones. i took both of them out on my truck and camaro.
