Chip in dash cluster
The chip in the dash cluster, theres two, one plugs into a green plug and one into a red. I think its green. The green one, theres a wire that plugs into the chip from the odometer i believe. What i that for??? Ive been having issues with my gas gauge/speedometer and that chip looks pretty bad off, could that be the reason???

Yes, especially if it looks like the chip is discolored from overheating.

Re: Speed Reading
it kind of does. and the connectors whre it plugs in, one was chewed up pretty decently. i THINK my fuel sending unit is bad. and i don't have the tools to test it. i unplugged it and it didn't change, my speedometer, it stopped working all together a day or two ago. so NOW i don't know how much gas i have at all. i was able to go by trip, but not any more.... haha.
