Same question, a little different
Ok so I just got a cheap 91 rs with a carbed 383 stroker. The previous owner hacked the wiring harness to bits. Its pretty bad. Now I have read many, many threads here but none really told me what I can get rid of and what I HAVE to keep. (for running not for legality) I have all alternator, starter, dizzy and ground wires separated. My real question is do I need the power steering pump switch or anything else wired up from the original harness. I am rewiring the fuel pump relay and the fan. Any help would be great. Thanks

Re: Same question, a little different
Since your not running a computer your don't need that switch. And since it is carbed you can remove EVERYTHING thats not needed specifically for the engine/trans to operate properly.

Re: Same question, a little different
remove the ENTIRE passenger side wiring harness along with the ecm. the driver side harness and passenger side AC harness go untouched. you can tap into a switched 12v wire on the driver side harness for the dizzy.
