A quick charging related question
A quick charging related question
I have been rebuilding my car for the last year and have learnt so much about it. My question is that I installed a new battery, alt has been rebuilt and it was running fine. It always started up no problem. I even did the Big 3 upgrade. Lately my it seems that my battery is not holding charge or something and the car turns over but doesnt fire. I have put the battery on my charger and the charger light illuminates green stating that its charged. The car is turned over and the charging light on the charger goes red, not charged. After a few cranks, the battery is now dead. Could this be a faulty battery? Its in a 5.7 V8 TA GTA. Do I need to get a high CA battery?
Thanks

Re: A quick charging related question
If your battery is dead after a few cranks you probably have bad cells. And by a few cranks I don't mean 5-10 minutes cranking trying to start it. If thats the case then its not your battery... Take it to the local part house and have them test it. Or just take it back to where you got it and get a replacement.
