Ok I have an 89 camaro rs with 305 TBI with a 355 block. All electronics still intact. Ok my problem is I started the car fri when I was at work to go off campus to smoke a cigarette ok then I couldn't get it to start back up. I have replaced the coil 4 times in the past 3 days I've also replaced the ICM twice and the p/u coil. Then changed the whole dizzy all together. Ok power is getting to the coil checked with test light but after that nothing. The power is directing to the dizzy but it won't spark at all. Please help me in any way. I have replaced everything. Could possibly be bad crank/cam sensor. If pcm does not get a signal it wont send signal to fire spark.

 

It doesn't have one. That's what others keep telling me but it doesn't have one.

 

Injectors have pulse and everything when trying to crank it just has no spark coming from the coil but coil is def 12v good

 

Unplug the pickup connector from the distributor and have someone crank it while you have a plug boot off and see if it sparks.

Also double check all the wires going to the coil. The can get corroded and easily break connection under the sheath of the wire. Try and wiggle it around and see if you get an intermittent connection.
Can also run a ground from your battery to a bolt on the coil to eliminate a bad ground.

 

Did you replace the cap and rotor? (just checkin)

 

Problem solved. Had a bad coil bought from autozone. And had a short from the coil (white wire) for tach cause it ha a splice for aftermarket tach and shift light. It's alive just got to figure out the timing just right and she will b just fine. thank y'all so much for the help and advice
