LT1 140 Amp Alternator

Will an alt off an lt1 fit on the earlier thirdgen serpentine v-belt setup with the alt on the passenger side? The original 105 amp is really working hard with both my lt1 fans running, ac on, and driving at night with the lights on.

Re: LT1 140 Amp Alternator

Is it serpentine or V belt? If Im not mistaken all LT1 alternators are serpentine (multi-rib) pullied.

Re: LT1 140 Amp Alternator

my alt is the hybrid serp/v belt. serpentine on the alt and water pump, v belt on the p/s pump and ac. I believe the stock alt is a 150mm case, and the lt1 is 140mm?
