How do you wire in fog lights?

I hit a fence yesterday trying to move my car into my driveway there was snow all over the road so i was having fun doing a few donuts and stuff then i tried to move it back into the driveway and i gave it gas and it slid into my fence, knocked over the fence so i put back up the fence and looked at my front and my grill was broken so i thought this would be the perfect time to start my IROC Z Conversion

I am wondering how how i go about wiring up the fog lights in my RS how easy is it? I know I have to hook up a switch in the interior so I was wondering if somebody could give me a step by step process on how to wire up the switch and the fog lights?

Re: How do you wire in fog lights?

well i will give you the easy way, get a switch plug it in inside. in the engine bay under the brake booster? there should be a wireing harness for the fogs, what you need is the engine bay harness for the fogs that plug in there, then it runs down to the grill where it will plug into the factory lights.

another way that im gona do is get after market lights, that look alike, get the factory switch, and make a harness in the engine bay.

Re: How do you wire in fog lights?

Factory set up has a relay up by the washer bottle. The switch on the dash triggers that for the fog lights to come on.
Think it was 88 up switch was a little better than the earlier one. It lit up with the dash lights. I remember upgrading back then.

Do you just have the lights and switch? None of the wiring??

I never noticed that the fog light wiring plugged into the body wiring harness.. So you could just upgrade easy. If thats the case, and you need the wiring.. I could look thru the body harness;s I have.. If its there you could have it.

If there aftermarket make sure to check how many amps they pull and use proper wire, a relay and fuse. That's if your going to do it correct. No need to put together a fire hazz

Hmm sounds good, When the snow clears up on the roads I want to go to my local pick n pull and go find the Chevy section they have about 5 camaros there and last time i was there they had 2 irocs so possibly the fog lights, switch, and wiring should be there, along with an iroc hood for my car
