ignition problems!!!! PLEASE HELP!!

(before this everything was working fine)I was working on getting my high beam rod back on that little plastic piece. when I touched the rod with needle nose pliers i hit the turn signal lever and that created a spark everything cut off and came back on and right after that my wipers, brake lights, and car charger (cig lighter) stopped working.
I replaced the fuses and everything works fine, however now my car won't start with the key, I had a push start ignition installed a while back, so i connected it and placed my key in the on position and it fired right up???
What could be causing my key to not work????
any help would be great
thanks!
