speedomiter tachomiter trouble
Have a 90rs that I got.had a dead engine.had 90 bird that was rearended.I took the 3.4 block, 700r4tranny, driveshaft, engine, harness ,ecm, rearend, gastank, all canisters radiator, and put them in this camaro.Got the engine running and driveing great.BUT the speedomiter and tac dont work.tach pegs out and speed dosnt do anything.I've looked at the dash asembly out of the bird.after reading the book and comparing pics they show a vss mounted on the cluster back.the bird one dosnt have these.I havnt taken out the rs cluster yet.I was told there is a part for the tach thats gota be changed.it had a 305tbi in it.now im a 3.1 map system.I didnt do a thing to the engine and tranny.the birds gagues worked great.any clue if the two systems are not compatable?here some pics from the dead bird.

I've tried 3 diferent gauge clusters and another vss on the tranny.car runs great.still no speedo.Where is the senser for the tach I gota change.cant figure it out.Firebird and camaro arnt different are they?any way to test the wires from the ecm to the gauge cluster to make sure its good.all other gauges good. Not any chance the speedo and tach would be switched around?tach peged out speedo dead!
