Ok, so I have no third brake light, bulb replacement doesn't fix it. After searching for this on hear I see people mentioning contact points on the hatch itself, on my 91 it has that coiled wire going to the housing, does my car still have the contact points or is it all done through that wire?

 

its done thru the wire. might want to look at the wire and see if it was pulled on and broke away for the third brake light or where it mounts to the body. A friend of mine had the same issue and thats what happenned
