Fuel pump fuse keeps blowing?

Engine: 383 Mini ram
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: borg warner 9 bolt
Fuel pump fuse keeps blowing?
I have an 87 iroc z camaro.
I keep blowing the fuse labeled FP.
when that happens my voltmeter drops down to about 9.
Headlights dim and everything.
How should i go about diagnosing this?

Fuelish Advice
Most likely the power wire going to the pump is shorted to ground, or the pump is defective.
You can unplug the connector to determine if it’s the wire or the pump.
