interior lighting

I would really love to do a LED light strip in below the rear seats to light up the floor and another strip on the hatch so i can see in it at night. my plan was to link them up on the courtesy fuse, but thought id check before hand in case i should be warned about anything... also i thought of doing a bright strip under the hood to see the engine at night and, useless but for appearance do a LED bulb in both washer fluid and coolant tanks to light them up as well and have those all hooked to constant power with a preasure switch under the hood so whenever it opens they light up. Thoughts? ideas? concerns?

Re: interior lighting

The LED lighting uses very little voltage, so no issue with drain on the system. The strips are waterproof, but not the connectors. I don't think "in" any of the fluid bottles is a good idea.

Alternately, to switch the lights under the hood, a mercury switch would work.

Re: interior lighting

my idea of in might be different than yours, i planned on it being encased in some sort of water proof capsule and then properly fixed into the plastic with some epoxy to seal it up air tight. i plan on having some trial and error tests before a complete install. my bigger concern was if heat from the engine could mess with the strips at all
