Ok so I'm putting a alarm system in my car but I can't find what wire to connect to for te parking lights to flash I saw online brown and there were two dark brown almost black wires so I connected it to that on the headlight switch that pulls out and nothing so of some could fill me in that would be awesome I have a 86 camaro z28

 

It should be a brown wire at the headlight switch. Use a volt meter to see if you tap into the correct wire. Should show 12 volts at the switch when in the parking light position.

 

I tried that but I have like 5 wires that have 12v in the parking light position there was no brown there was a thick black wire that assumed was ground and then there were two smaller dulled out grey wires going into one connection witch is what I tapped off of and the. A red yellow and I think a green it was like Christmas in there except with out that missing brown wire that I need to find :/
