can i put my ac on a toggle switch, replaced 305 tpi with a 383 carbed stoker[ no more computer]used most of original harness

 

You can but I wouldnt recommend it. If you did that, the compressor would run all the time and without knowing what the pressures are in the system, you could iceberg the system or have a catastrophic failure.
