92 Formula speedo incorrect

92 Formula speedo incorrect
Hi all,
I have a 92 Formula with the 120mph speedo. The speedo reads 20 mph more than the reading on my nuvi GPS. Could it be the speed sensor ? Would this be common if the trans was swapped sometime in the car's life?
I bought the car in Baltimore last year and the speedo has never been correct.

The trans could have been swapped or the rearend and or gears could have been swapped.
