885 fog light bulb alternatives

885 fog light bulb alternatives
I've been wondering what kind of other bulbs are swappable into the stock Camaro fog lights. The stock bulbs are a 50w 12v bulb, and I have plenty of H3, H11, etc bulbs laying around. Has anyone swapped in a different kind of bulb before? Any issues? I don't want to be melting harness's or blowing fuses/relays. Eventually I will build a relay harness and do a projector retrofit, but I'm just looking for a drop in alternative for the time being.

I got some fake HID's from autolumination.com and they are definitely brighter but not quite a blue as I would've liked
