i just put a rebuilt trans in my IROC and the first time out and some of my gauges stoped working and when you would have the lights on it would be making the beeping sound even with the car running well i figured out its was the gauges fuse so i put a new one in.. then i went for anouther drive and it was doing just fine until i shifted it into over drive right as it hit overdrive the gauges took a crap and the beeping came back... i cant think of any reason why overdrive would cause fuse failures. im either gonna have to just drive around in D or carry extra fuses so i can check my gas level. anyone have any ideas why overdrive is causeing this?

 

make sure the plug is in the trans case the corect way they can be put in wrong and cause a short

 

the plug is in the trans but when i put the tranny back in i had to re connect the 3wires i know i got one of them right, but the other two could have possibly got mixed up
