So I got 1 84 z28 stick shift and I wanted to wire a new tachometer becuase the curent sock one doesnt seem to work ad good. From the looks of the the RPM's it tells me seem too low.

but anyways..

I just wanna know exactly where do I wire the tachometer too once I pass the firewall, since I have a carburetor, thanks!

 

Should be the white wire going to the distributor.

 

I coonnected the wire to the wire that I taught was the right one but now my stock tachometer doesnt work at all. IDK whats up now..?

 

Do you think this would be a good on for my car and will it fit?? and would you recommend the regular circular ...thanks!
