i have an 84 camaro that i bought a few days ago. the car has been sitting around for a year.i had to replace my fuel pump today so i made a trap drop above the tank. i have the fuel assembly out and everything and i replaced the fuel pump. so i connected it to the wiring harness just to make sure thier were no electrical problems, but there is an electrical problem cause the fuel pump doesnt make any noise, to make sure the fuel pump was connected right i connected the wiring from the fuel pump to a battery just sitting in my garage and the fuel pump works by doing that. the fuse is fine

 

So find out if the relay is working or even being turning on.
Check for 12V full time at the relay to run the pump? Fusible link from battery may be blown

 

ok so where is that fuisble link located? and i ordered a relay

 

Have you checked for 12V full time at the relay?

You could have tried the identical fan relay next to the pump relay before buying a new one
