Headlight Actuator Help

Well, my headlights stopped going up; they go down. Thinking it was the gears inside, I opened one of the actuators up and found all the gears were good.

What else can cause the failure?

The lights used to go up and down for a while then eventually failed.
Sometimes one light wouldn't open, but I could cycle the light switch a few times, and the light would go up.

Re: Headlight Actuator Help

Probably the isolation relay. I think the 84's used a 3 relay system?

Re: Headlight Actuator Help

The isolation relay is located on the rad support wall, right behind the passenger side headlight (engine side). There are two other relays, one on each fender. These control the headlight motors and are interchangeable. The isolation relay is not interchangeable with the motor relays.
