I had a 2 wire alt with the red going to the starter and the white to a tan/white or brow wire to the dash i guess and the battery wire to the post on the back of the alt. I have tried every wiring option on the internet to wire up the 3 wire alt but it keeps heating up the pulley so much that the belt starts to smoke and almost melts. any ideas on how to wire it up?

ps and please dont say just get a 1 wire alt haha

 

Ok and now the 2 wire alt pulley is also heating up. Can anyone please help!? I dont know it it is from maybe a bad ground but it is grounded to the block in two places.
