89 firebird formula. original engine. 5.7 th350 trans


This taped up bundle was going down the passenger side, under the engine block. Most all wires go to the starter. The white one goes to a sensor on the drivers side.. Oil pressure?

My question is.. what does the black one go to?
I was trying to clean up some wiring.. not sure if I cut it.. I think it was already loose. Any guidence o' wise Firebird gurus?

 

if i remember correctly at the moment the white one is a knock sensor wire and the black goes to the fan control temp unit on that side of the block... either that or vice versa
