we are trying to star a 1984 camaro but cant figure out which wires go together do that.. We were told a red wire would be the one but dont have one we do have however tan, neon green, yellow,green and white, blue, purple, baby blue, and grey. If any one knows which ones go together to get the car started i would really appreciate it

A little more info would help greatly, like where are these wires located, and are they attached to anything?

 

Ya, you need to tell us more about what you are doing, but you're probably talking about the wires on the steering column. Can you remove the ignition switch and push it forward manually?

 

I would like to see a picture of what you're talking about it would greatly help

 

The sterring column is pulled out that is where the wires are and yes it is my car well my husbands project. he is wanting to install a push start

Looks like tasks are occurring in the wrong order for the car to successfully reach drivability status.

 

It use to have the steering colimn but his dad pulled it out without us knowing so we havent beem able to start it....i think he wants to see if it still starts do you know which wires to put together that will start it? He's in the process of getting a new steering column.

 

For several reasons, just get a new steering column.

Pic posted looks like the wiring that goes to the blinker combination switch, with the connector chopped off, not the ign wiring.
