Very dim heater control panel

Very dim heater control panel

Is there a trick to having the HVAC control panel light up brighter? Here is what Im facing.....

Try pulling it out and checking the bulbs in it.....I just had the same problem in my 86 with the instrument cluster.

Found out that there is only one bulb behind the panel. It is what it is.

Bombastic Bulb

It looks like the bulb is out of place.

An intact assembly with the correct bulb lights evenly and with plenty of brightness.

Therefore the first thing to check is the aforementioned.

Theres only one plug for one light bulb. I would have to mod an extra bulb holder behind the face plate to add additional light....
