Horn Constantly on????

Axle/Gears: Posi 3.23 9 Bolt
Horn Constantly on????
I have an 82 Z28 and the horn is oversensitive, if i press it it will stay on and i have to pull the horn cap off to stop it. I still have the factory steering wheel and everything on it. I just cant figure out what i have to do to keep it from constantly going off. i have also put on a different horn cap but that did not help.

Maybe the wire is intermittently shorting where it passes thru the cancelling cam and lock plate at the top of the column. I seem to remember mine getting pinched and doing that, while re-assembling my column a long long time ago.
