1991 Gauge Install

I'm installing three gauges in my '91 RS, and I'm wondering what is the easiest way to do this. I'm using Autometer gauges that are all electric. I'm installing water temp, oil pressure, and a volt gauge. I've prented off the wiring pin-outs that I found through this website as well. The main thing I would like to know is where to get the power for the back lighting, and which wires are for each of the individual gauges. I've looked at the pin-outs but I want to make sure to get the right wires.

Gage Engage

Connect the illumination wires from the new gages to the output side of the INST LPS fuse.

The only accurate way to connect the Volts gage info input is directly to the battery.

You can provide the model # of the new gages and say if you’re mounting them as replacements in the dash, or if you’re mounting them on a separate panel, to receive more info.

Happy Racing!

Re: 1991 Gauge Install

I got them figured out. I didn't know the Autometer gauges that I ordered came with their own sending units, so, I used their sending units rather than trace wires to wind the factory wires.
