Horn Blowing My Mind (Pun Intended)
For a number of years the horn on my Signature Series Grant has been hit or miss. Recently, annoyed, because it had failed completely. I swapped out the relay. No resolution to the issue. I removed the horn button which was a bit sticky, and cleaned it up. It tested good. No resolution. I ordered a new horn button pigtail, but before I could install it, I manipulated the tilt mechanism several times--yep, suddenly working. My question: What did the manipulation do or change to allow contact? Little pin that makes contact under the turn signal cam, perhaps movement of the pigtail?

I would put money on a broken wire... Because of the tilt mechanism, wires in the column can break inside the insulation over the years, and moving the column can re-connect them (although just temporarily).
I'd bet if you go play with the column enough, it will stop working once again.
