how to raise hatch motor manually??

my pull down motor stopped working like halfway down took it apart hooked it up to a drill to lower it and it worked but i lowered it to much as to where it wont catch the hatch so i figured i would just reverse the drill and it would go up (makes sense right??... wrong) nothing happened WTF... can any1 tell me how to raise it manually without breaking anything. suggestions appreciated thanks in advanced

did you try putting power directly to the motor? Ive seen them do this then when you put power directly to the motor they decide to work. usually ends up being a bad ground or relay. if you need some parts for it let me know as I have a few here I took apart to fix eventually

thanks i actually figured it out.turns out my gears were all grinded up (CHEAP PLASTIC) if any 1 else was wondering how to do it manually, you need to take off 3 bolts that hold the slider onto the plastic, 1 bolt is behind in a tighter spot so you will need an extendor for whatever tool you are using. then you can just lift the slider out and do it by hand. good luck
