The factory tach wire should have also ran to the coil. Did you hook up all the wires that went to the original coil?

Before I switched over to carb. I have a 6a msd box with a accel coil. after the switch I have the same but had to change the distributor to a msd to work with msd box.The only wiring I did was to buy the pigtail that pluged up to the opposite side on the msd box and went to the msd distributor..The other wires that came off the other end of the msd box went to the computer control distributor which are still in place.

Connect the factory tach wire to the tach terminal on the msd box.
