Trying to determine coolant fan and heater fan amp draw. Anyone know?

I need to know how many amps my radiator fan and heater fan are drawing. Anyone know off hand? What about my multimeter, can I use that to find out?

It's the stock electric fan I believe, and the heater core fan is stock.

The fan draws about 10 amps.

The HVAC blower maybe.

Yes.

Dial the multi-meter to the 10 amp or above range.

Many meters have special lead inputs for the higher amp scales so make sure your probes are plugged in correctly.

Here is hookup for testing.
For simplicity we left out the ignition switch, thermoswitch, etc.
The point is to put the meter in series with the fan or blower.

Happy Racing!
