electrical short?

So while I was driving to work I noticed my right signal indicator bulb was dimly on constantly, as well as my battery gauge showing no charge at all. If I used the right turn signal the signal would work faster than normal and with each time the light goes on the battery gauge went even lower and the tach dropped roughly 2000 rpms and kiked back up to where it was. Any ideas?

The Ground Runaround

Your problem is consistent with an open ground.

Check the two connectors that go to the back of the dash.

Then you can check the grounds located at the ‘Convenience Center’ bracket.

The Convenience Center is located behind the knee bolster.

The Convenience Center contains a flasher among other parts
(just to help you identify it).

thanks for the advice, the 2 front bolts holding up my steering column had somehow unscrewed and when I was putting them back in I found the main ground for the gauges was disconnected from the column. I didn't see the reply till after it was fixed but I do appreciate the response, didn't think anyone would.
