Wiring my tach......?Did I do it right?

So on my 84z28 i got an LG4 engine and i got a stock distributor but my question is that if I have wired my tach correctly as in, have i tapped into the correct cable...? I made a short video showing the wires I got and the one Ive wired into..

Alot of my friends are telling me that its the wrong one because my the tach seems to work except it seems to show high RPM's during cruising and on the freeway.......

car's doing about 4000RPM's going at 70mph on the freeway according to my aftermarket tach.....

heres the vid...
