87 camaro wiring harnass

I have a carb 305 in my 87 camaro but i have an excess of wires. I have found at least 6 pigtails that are simply capped off and it all appears to just be a cluttered mess. Would I be able to cut the wires out or do they some how serve a purpose being there still?

Look around this site for wiring diagrams. You don't know why previous owners disconnected wires and eliminating them could make things worse. Electrical repairs aren't cheap; I spent a grand last month.

Also, I suggest that instead of leaving your profile almost completely anonymous, you take a minute to provide others with some info. While it's not necessary to give a bio, your interests, or your exact location, at the very least, you should display your car's year, model and engine size & type.

To do so, click on your user name and in the 'about me' section, click on the pencil icon and please fill in the information that will result in you getting better and quicker responses to your questions.
