Starter heat soak issues!

After about a year of never having the problem, I am suddenly getting starter issues. I am getting heat soak that is really causing headaches! I have replaced the starter at least twice and still, any time the temp gets above 160 degrees, it will not turn over.
Am I just getting a run of bad starters, or is there another issue I need to look at?

Try a starter heat shield

or insulate the starter with a heat blanket.

If that doesn't work you can always go the remote solenoid way that guys use to cure SBC hot soak problems

Had the same problem with my 86 IROC. I installed a mini-starter, forget which brand, but that cured my heatsoak problem and starter starts car everytime no matter how long ive been running the car.
