Bad dwell meters
Bad dwell meters
Mornin Boys,
It there a way to test dwell meters? I had 3, 2 left and they all gave/give me different readings. (NOT one auto parts stores round here in two different towns have a dwell meter) I just replaced my distributor and set the point gap with a feeler gage. (.019) on a 63 Chevy pu runnin a 1996 350 and when I hook up a dwell meter, I get 10 degrees on one and 24 degrees on the other. And the motor runs fine, smooth. Starts with a quick turn of the key. But to have 3 dwell meters bad all at the same time don't sound right. I know I'll have to order a new dwell meter on line from some where. I don't want an ebay used one tho, I have 2 of those.
Any ideas???
