Replacing horn with tweeter/alarm horn...

I tried the obvious thing. I cut the green wire going to the original horn Spliced it into the red wire on the new horn. Then grounded the new Horn to the body. Nothing happened. What did I do wrong? Is it impossible?

Sounding The Alarm

Temporarily connect the old horn.

If it still works, you new one is defective.

The siren works when I connect a 9v battery to it. The old horn works just fine as well. Any reason why connecting the green wire to siren and touching the ground to the fender wouldnt produce a sound?
