Hey guys, I have a megashifter on my camaro and I was looking at the wiring and I found that if you hook up the purple and yellowish wires together, it allows you to start your car. By looking at the wiring diagram, when those two wires connect, so do the black with white stripe and orange with black stripe but my car still starts without them being connected. Does anyone know what they do?

 

The orange/blk if for a park neutral switch when grounded in park or neutral the ecm will cause the engine to go up in rpm to prevent the engine from stalling when going into drive. The blk wire is ground and the light green wire is for the reverse lights.
